Who we are….

A Little Bit of our History...

Some have asked from where our farm name comes?  Our family name is McColeman, not Lang as some assume.
Years ago we traveled to a beautiful mountain province in Northern VietNam to bring home one of our children: LangSon province.
When we bought the farm in 2003, Rob wanted to name it after this province so it would be everyone's home.

LangSon Farms was named.   ❤   This 54 acre parcel of land in Wellington County has been our home for over 20 years. We feel privileged to care for this farmland and teach the next generation the importance of sustainable agriculture and regenerative farming. We are excited to pass on our love of the land and our animals to our family and community.

We started out by raising food for our growing family to eat and it has grown from there. We sell only what we feed our own family. We believe it is important for our animals to be given the time and respect they need to grow. Our products are non-GMO, non-certified naturally grown. A little bit about our farm family:

GRASSFED BEEF: Our cattle are grass-fed throughout their lives, calves are born here on the farm, spending lots of time on pasture, and eating our natural hay in the wintertime.

FARM RAISED PORK: The pigs are raised in a natural small farm setting in small groups, given lots of room to roam and root, eating lots of compost and grains.

FREE RANGE FLOCKS: The chickens free-range outdoors through the spring and summer, and enjoy the warmth of the old bank barn in the winter. They eat grains, lots of wild berries, grubs, and treats from our gardens.

We know that food grown on healthy land  with healthy farming practices produces a healthy product. We act as stewards of this land, caring for its health to support your family and ours by using regenerative farming practices.
